Who is Australian Canoeing ?
Australian Canoeing (AC) is the National Organization responsible for the management, coordination, development and promotion of paddle sports in Australia. AC is committed to the provision of a high standard of competition, safety, and opportunity for participation in paddle sports in Australia. AC aims to provide all members with fair competition, access to high standard facilities and equity in participation at all levels.
The Lifestyle of Kayaking although simple in essence, requires a certain level of ability and confidence, and like most sports requires sound technique to reduce effort and improve efficiency. Of crucial importance is the safety level with which our Kayaking is undertaken and combining these factors is where JBK Education fits in.
No matter what type of craft you have or are intending to buy, JBK offers a range of modular programs that are designed to build on your experience and confidence from managing your kayak onto the car, correct technique, to rough water rescues. Outdoor Education has always been at the heart of JBK. From the outset in 1995, JBK Director Ross Boardman has structured Jervis Bay Kayak Co to provide Courses and Training Programs to allow for continuing Education of the Kayaker, and this is evident in our 20+ Experience Programs.
Of firm belief that if we provide regular structured activities for the Sea Kayaker, s/he will continue to be active and pursue their experiences making the most of the equipment and the waterways both here and abroad.
